Sully Sports were beaten 38-13 at Bridgend Athletic 2nds in their first away game of the Admiral League season.
Head coach John Dimond described it as a "tough result on the road for the boys against a very well-drilled and physical Generals side".
"Everyone gave 100 per cent, and we now know what this league is about", he said.
"The game went okay, but we just lost our way towards the last 20 minutes with a few missed tackles and Bridgend's 10 put us back into our 22 a lot with his kicking, good use of the elements and strong wind."
Sully will be looking to put things right in training this week and move onto their next Division Six East Central fixture at home to Kenfig Hill on Saturday.
Sully Sports scorers:
Try - Jack Huggin
Conversion - Caelan Hurley; penalties - Hurley 2.
