Penarth continue to lead the way in the Admiral League in the East Central region, after a battling 39-31 win over St Albans.
Blustery conditions at the Athletic Ground played their part as the Bears saw off a well-drilled Buns side to retain their 100% record in all competition, with Harry Williams scoring a hattrick of tries.
Spencer Robinson, Ben Jones and Joe Williams also went over for the hosts, who also marked the 100th club appearances of front row duo Geraint Williams and Tom Griffiths.
Penarth remain top, having yet to drop even a single bonus point in the Division One table.
The game was called off early with 14 minutes left after Barry no. 8 Rhys Carre suffered a potentially serious neck injury - another setback for the Bombers, who have already been hamstrung by a number of long-term absentees, including captain Aled Rees.
Next up for Barry is a home clash with Cambrian Welfare at the Reservoir Field next Saturday.
In Division Two, Cowbridge made it back-to-back wins after beating Pentyrch 29-22, while Llantwit Major are off the mark in Division Three after a hard fought 33-24 victory at home to Ferndale.
Dinas Powys were beaten 26-15 at home to Cilfynydd and in Division Six, Sully Sports were beaten 40-13 at Bridgend Athletic in their first defeat under new head coach John Dimond.
Old Penarthians' Division Five fixture at Tref y Clawdd was postponed.

Elsewhere, Louis Rees Zammit suffered a toe injury in Bristol Bears' comprehensive 50-17 defeat against Saracens in the Gallagher Prem on Saturday.
The Penarth-born wing had to be helped off the field early in the second half, although head coach Pat Lam remained confident the summer signing would return for next Saturday's clash with Exeter Chiefs at Ashton Gate.
Rees-Zammit celebrated his return to top-flight rugby last weekend by scoring a last-minute try in Bristol's opening 42-24 victory over Leicester Tigers.
