Three teams from the Vale are just one game away from qualifying for this season's Welsh Cup.
Holton Road provided an early upset by beating Ardal South West club Bridgend Street 3-0.
The South Wales Alliance League club took a commanding lead through Daniel Morgan and Bayley Harewood inside the first quarter-hour, before Shuan Jachontow struck on 34 minutes to secure their place in the second qualifying round.
They'll be joined by Cardiff Airport, who ran out 5-0 winners over ten-man Llangennech at Jenner Park on Saturday night.
Airport have enjoyed lengthy runs in the competition, getting as far as the third round proper last season.
Ely Rangers also progressed as they beat cup specialists Ton Pentre 3-0.
Alex Scott put the Wenvoe-based club in front after just two minutes with Luke Garland adding a second just before the half hour and Yusef Mohammed Moore wrapping up a comfortable win before the hour mark.
Elsewhere, it was heartbreak for Sully Sports who went out to Cwm Wanderers on penalties following a 4-all draw.
The hosts opened up a three-goal lead through Issac Kahar, Michael Fallas and Gareth Cawley, only for Wanderers to draw level through a Gavin Jones hattrick.
Michael Lazarou looked to have snuck victory for Sully in the 87th minute, before Oliver Ranford equalised in stoppage time to force spot kicks, where Cwm Wanderers prevailed 5-4.
Dinas Powys also fell to an early Cup exit after a 4-1 defeat at home to Rogerstone. Izaac Follon restored parity for Dinas after James Goodfellow took an early lead for the visitors, who went onto put the tie beyond reach via goals from Luke Edwards, Nathan Murphy and Connor Marsh.
St Athan, who were crowned Vale of Glamorgan League champions last season, crashed to an 8-1 defeat at Caerphilly Athletic.
Sean Lucas scored the visitors' only goal, as Athletic ran rampant with a hattrick for John Harding, a brace for Jonathan Davies - including a penalty - and goals for Troy Hiscock-Greening, Gareth Hole and substitute Sebastian James.
St Athan played most of the second half with ten men after James Austin was sent off for two yellow cards.
Meanwhile, Cardiff Bay Warriors booked their place in round two of the qualifiers with a 4-3 victory at Clydach Wasps.
The visitors twice fell behind to goals from Jordan Jones - who went onto score a hat trick - but responded through a Abdulkhaliq Yusuf brace and goals from Ashraf Boulaiche and Abdi Noor.
The draw for the second qualifying round takes place on Wednesday evening via the FAW's Red Wall Plus channel.
