Theo Wharton has rejoned Barry Town United on the eve of phase two of the Cymru Premier season.
The midfielder has signed an 18-month deal to return to Jenner Park as Steve Jenkins' men prepare for a big few months which also takes in a Nathaniel MG Cup final, a Welsh Cup quarter final and a guaranteed European play-off spot.
Wharton joins from Llanelli, where he made 44 appearances and helped the Stebonbheath Park club clinch the Cymru South title and promotion to the Welsh top flight last year.
The 31 year-old, whose godson is ex-Wales international Nathan Blake, came through the youth ranks at Cardiff City before moving onto spells at York City, Tamworth, Nuneaton Borough and Hereford.
He made his Cymru Premier bow at Barry during the curtaled 2019-20 season, going onto make 51 apparances and score two goals before leaving to join Newtown two years later.
As an international, he played for Wales at youth level before switching alliegance and going onto represent St. Kitts and Nevis in 21 matches.
Barry kick off their first Championship Conference campaign in five years when they visit league leaders The New Saints at Park Hall on Saturday.
