George Roberts and Tom Griffiths ran in two tries each for the East Central leaders in the Admiral League.
Harri Williams and Alan Doyle also went over for the Bears, who rounded off a comfortable win with a penalty try to book their place in the second round.
Penarth resume their league campaign at home to St Albans next Saturday while Barry are the visitors at Abercwmboi.
Elsewhere, Dinas Powys were routed 41-0 at Penygraig in the Division Three Cup - while Llantwit Major are still looking for their first win of the season after a last-ditch 16-12 defeat at Llandaff.
Old Penarthians also fell at the first hurdle in the Division Five Cup, going down 31-21 to Blackwood Stars.
