Staff on a Barry Hospital ward have been recognised for their work under an accolades scheme.
The Sam Davies ward has been given bronze accreditation as part of a ward improvement programme in Cardiff and the Vale.
Three wards at the University Hospital of Wales also achieved the accreditation, aimed at recognising high standards of care delivered by workers.
Helen Bonello, senior nurse for professional standards at CAVUHB, said: "As a health board, we are committed to promoting a culture of empowerment that supports our ward leaders, embeds improvement skills and ensures we celebrate success."
"This milestone reflects the teams’ commitment to continuous quality improvement in patient care, safety and overall healthcare quality."
To earn the bronze level accreditation, each hospital ward must provide evidence of their progress, such as implementing changes to improve patient care and demonstrating sustained progress,
The Sam Davies ward will now aim towards the silver level, which focuses on getting more staff involved in their efforts to improve services.
