Motion Control Dance recently recieved a visit from Anton Du Beke and some of the cast of Strictly Come Dancing.
An award-winning community dance charity based in Barry featured on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday.
Motion Control Dance's disability dancers received a surprise visit from the cast a couple of weeks back, as the programme celebrates the successes of BBC Children In Need Funded projects.
A spokesperson for Motion Control Dance said "At Motion Control Dance, we’ve always believed in the transformative power of dance, especially for our incredible disability dancers. For weeks, the team at Motion Control Dance had been buzzing with excitement about an upcoming project."
"We knew something special was planned, but the details remained a closely guarded secret. Little did our dancers know that the BBC's beloved "Strictly Come Dancing Pro Dancers" were planning to make a special appearance to shine a spotlight on the incredible work we do thanks to Children in Need funding. The producers wanted to celebrate the joy of dance and showcase how it brings people together, regardless of their abilities."
On the day of the visit, participants thought it was just another dance class, before the doors suddenly swung open and in walked Anton Du Beke and the stars of Strictly, with the room erupting into cheers and applause.
After greeting everyone, the Strictly stars rolled up their sleeves and joined the Motion Control team on the floor, sharing tips, techniques, and most importantly smiles, creating a memory that members will not forget anytime soon.

A spokesperson for Motion Control Dance said "The surprise visit from "Children in Need" and "Strictly Come Dancing" was an unforgettable day filled with laughter, inspiration, and connection. It was a beautiful celebration of inclusivity, joy, and the transformative power of dance. Our dancers left the studio with smiles that spoke volumes, carrying with them the belief that their dreams are valid and achievable."
"We are grateful to the Strictly Team for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit our studio in Barry and was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our incredible dancers and to remind the world that dance is for everyone."
"At Motion Control Dance, we are grateful for experiences like this that shine a light on the incredible talent within our community. Here’s to more magical moments in the future, where dance continues to bring us together and inspire us all!"
