The Barry Mayor is inviting residents to visit the Dovecote, the only Grade I listed building in Barry.
The event forms part of the Mayor's fundraising activities for his chosen charities, Mind in the Vale and Valeways.
Taking place on Sunday, 21st September, the special opportunity is one for history fans, with an opportunity to hear about the history of the site and some of its previous owners over some refreshments.
Talks on the day will be hosted by the Mayor of Barry and Victorian Barry Experience, who will share information about the Grade II listed rectory, which is also part of this important location.
Advanced booking is required for the event, with visits and talks starting on the hour at 11 am, 12 pm and 1 pm.
Visitors are advised that wheelchair access to the Dovecote may be difficult due to the narrow entrance.
Tickets are £5 per person (+ booking fee) with all proceeds being donated to the Mayor's chosen charities.
Tickets can be purchased via https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/barrytowncouncil
