A tennis club in Barry is offering free have-a-go sessions for the new sport of pickleball.
Ideal for anyone wanting to try something new or an easier racket sport, Pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.
It is played outdoors on a badminton-sized court using a slightly modified tennis net - with two or four players using solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball.
Barry Athletic Tennis Club is offering taster sessions - with equipment provided - each evening from Tuesday to Friday from 6-8pm with a further session on Saturday from 10am-midday.
It's hoped the club will be able to provide pickleball throughout the summer, subject to demand.
