South Wales Police say that a body has been discovered within woods near Cae Canol in Penarth.
In a post on social media on Friday evening, the force confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances and that formal identification was yet to have taken place.
South Wales Police offices continue to be in attendance, with residents asked to avoid the area to allow emergency services to access to the scene.
