Bro Radio is partnering with Hospital Radio Glamorgan to broadcast live around the 2024 Cardiff Half Marathon.
On Sunday 6th October, the two stations will broadcast live from 9 am - 12 pm outside The Deck on Penarth Marina.
Both stations will be encouraging participants through the four-mile mark of the marathon, with its teams stationed at various points around the 13.1-mile route, sharing the atmosphere, speaking to charities and families of runners live on Bro Radio and Hospital Radio Glamorgan.
Hospital Radio Glamorgan (Registered charity 504534) has been broadcasting since 1967 and broadcasts live from the University Hospital of Wales serving three hospitals that sit within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Like Bro Radio, the station is manned by volunteers, who give their time to create an uplifting service for patients and the local community.
Hospital Radio Glamorgan Trustee Sam Rees said "This is a fantastic partnership, a great chance to pool resources and collectively cheer on the participants including two of our very own volunteers, Jayne Jones and Andrew Lowman-Jones who are taking part to raise money for our station!"
Bro Radio Operations Director Nathan Spackman said "It's great to team up with Hospital Radio Glamorgan to bring this coverage to all of our listeners. The Deck has been brilliant at accommodating our outside broadcast vehicle for the morning and we can't wait to encourage everyone running through the four-mile mark on Sunday."
You can listen to Bro Radio on FM, DAB, online and via the free Bro Radio App.
Hospital Radio Glamorgan is available online, via its dedicated app and on smart speakers.
