Pupils, parents and volunteers joined forces with police after vandals targeted a Barry primary school.
Intruders recently targeted the 'secret garden' at Cadoxton Primary School, where children had been growing and tending to crops and plants.
The vandals trampled on and destroyed the garden, damaged the furniture and tried to burn down a shed, leaving multiple scorch marks.
After local police were informed, additional patrols were put in place at night and the suspects were quickly identified.

In a further show of unison, the school held a volunteer day for parents and the joined forces to repair the damage and clean up the mess.
As a thank you, the pupils prepared and cooked food for those who turned out in support.
South Wales Police said there was no greater message to criminals than a community standing united.
PCSO Lloyd Bridgeman, who caught the vandals, was among those who attended the volunteer day.
“This was really heart-warming to see the community come together to help the school rebuild and it was a real pleasure to be a part of that", he said.
“Not only did it send a strong message to the pupils, that they are part of a really supportive and special community, it also sent a message to those who think such criminal and antisocial behaviour is acceptable."
“Such reckless and senseless actions have a devastating impact on those affected, and we will continue to work alongside our communities to tackle such offending.”
An investigation into the vandalism is continuing.
