A charity calendar by Dinas Powys Womens Institute has raised over £6,500 for the Cardiff & Vale Breast Centre Appeal.
The appeal shared the news on social media, stating they had the pleasure of meeting the ladies following the fundraising calendars success.
Cardiff & Vale Breast Centre Appeal said "This amazing group of women, along with their supporters have raised an astounding £6,640 with for our appeal."
The appeals Senior Fundraiser, Sue and Clinical Nurse Specialist - Breast Le Julie visited Dinas Powys WI to thank them in person, where they also shared how significant the fundraising will be for its patients.
Dinas Powys WI chose to produce their own "calendar girls" style charity calendar for 2025, with the help of sponsorship support from local businesses and assistance from local photographer Sian Lewis.
The calendar was Launched at a coffee morning held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, with the initial print run sold out within days, with further print runs in order to satisfy demand.
"The ladies aimed to support the appeal as a whole, with a particular focus on our ongoing exercise prescription service, which is unique to our Breast Centre and directly benefits many of our patients," said Cardiff & Vale Breast Centre Appeal.
"Support like this enables us to continue offering this much-loved and valuable service, enhancing the care provided through our Breast Centre."
