A family-run pizza restaurant in Cowbridge has closed after eight years of trading.
The owners of The Yard on the High Street have blamed "the financial climate" for their decision to shut with immediate effect.
Co-owner Emily Langford was recently signed by a London-based talent agent.
In a statement published on social media on Monday, the team behind the pizzeria said they can now "become customers in Cowbridge and sit on the other side of the bar".
They said: "In 2017, Paul and Emily opened the doors of The Yard, fulfilling our dream to own a restaurant where we live, in Cowbridge."
"Valerie joined the team a few years later to work with Emily and Charlie joined the team in the kitchen. This was truly a family run business and independent."
"We would like to thank everyone that has worked with us over the years using their talents to help provide a quality product on the Cowbridge food scene. Without you all, we would not have made it to eight years in service."
The statement added: "But, sadly, due to the financial climate, the time has come to close the doors on The Yard with immediate effect and move onto new pastures."
"Emily has recently signed with a London talent agent and we, her family, know this is the start of an amazing journey for her. She sacrificed her talent for our family business, but now is her time to shine and we are so proud and excited for her."
"Paul will move onto something new and Valerie is putting her feet up for a well deserved rest! Charlie is going off to Uni, studying music."
"The last 8 years have been hard work, but also a privilege to serve you all. So many of you were returning customers and that meant the world to us. A lot of you have become good friends....thank you all from the bottom of our hearts."
