Officers have highlighted the dangers after several young people were seen swimming at the beauty spot on Sunday afternoon.
Enforcement officers in the Vale are warning of the dangers of swimming at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park.
The warning comes after a number of young people were seen swimming at the popular beauty spot on Sunday evening.
In a statement released on Sunday evening, a spokesperson for VOG Enforcement said "Such activity is dangerous and given the water temperature there, could even be fatal consequences."
"We will be increasing our patrols of our Country Parks and if caught swimming you could receive an on-the-spot £100 Fixed Penalty Notice. If you are under 18, your parents could receive the Fixed Penalty Notice. Please stay out of the water."
