A former inspector in the Vale of Glamorgan has been banned from policing.
Mark Henderson resigned from South Wales Police amid allegations of inappropriate sexualised behaviour while off duty.
A misconduct hearing, held behind closed doors last month, ruled the former detective would have been sacked from the force for breaching professional standards.
Henderson, who served with South Wales Police for 22 years, moved to Barry in 2019 as a local inspector, after working within CID and the public protection unit in Cardiff.
They added: ''The force continued with a hearing and it was found that had they remained serving they would have been dismissed for breaching the standard of professional behaviour relating to discreditable conduct, after an off duty incident whereby he was found to be acting in an inappropriate sexualised manner."
Following the hearing, Henderson was added to the College of Policing's barred list.
South Wales Police have not made any comment on the matter as the misconduct hearing took place privately.
