A former superstore in Barry town centre has been brightened up with a series of festive window displays.
Earlier this month, Vale of Glamorgan Council revealed it had brought the ex-Wilko branch on Holton Road, more than two years after the High Street chain collapsed.
And while work continues to turn the former store into a space for small businesses, six local artists were commissioned to create a series of artworks for the empty shop windows.
They were completed in time for last weekend's switch-on of the Barry Christmas lights.
Vale of Glamorgan Council leader Lis Burnett said: "Seeing the former Wilko building be brought back to life with such imaginative and vibrant artwork is a wonderful way to begin the transformation of this important town centre space."
"Holton Road is at the heart of Barry's community, and we wanted to ensure that even while long-term plans are being developed, the building doesn't sit dormant."
"By commissioning local artists, we're celebrating the creativity that thrives within our own community and giving residents something joyful to enjoy during the festive season."

Among the artists chosen for the project were Emma George, who created a Christmas-themed vegetable pop art wall along with a mini Porthkerry Country Park, complete with interactive bridge and a toy stream train.
Illustrator Matt Joyce also produced a colourful winter scene using layers of artwork on lightweight foam.
The council says passers-by can expect more seasonal art displays in the short term, while work continues to make the store ready for use as it looks to bring footfall back to Holton Road.
Work is also underway to replace the signage on the front and sides of the building, which was brought with the aid of a £950,000 loan grant from the Welsh Government.
