The crew at Barry Dock RNLI are set to bid farewell to their Trent all-weather lifeboat.
For over two decades, the station's Lifeboat 14-29 has served Barry Dock, the Bristol Channel and the local community, recently being replaced by a new £2.5 million Shannon class lifeboat.
Following the Richard and Caroline Colton II becoming an operational asset, the station's former lifeboat has been in storage in Penarth Marina.
Lifeboat 14-29 has received an overhaul and plenty of TLC before it departs from Penarth Marina and Cardiff Barrage for the last time on Tuesday evening at approximately 18:30 to 19:00.
The Trent will be locking out of Cardiff Barrage, being met by Barry Dock's Shannon all-weather Lifeboat at approximately 19:00 to 19:30 to be escorted to Barry Harbour.
After final checks, it will be refilled and made ready for its passage to the RNLI All-Weather Lifeboat Centre in Poole, departing on Wednesday morning at approximately 9:30am.
Barry Dock RNLI is welcoming anyone to see the Trent for the final time at multiple viewing points in and around Penarth Marina, Cardiff Barrage and Barry Harbour over the coming days.
