The Vale Youth Service has been awarded a gold quality mark for its work.
The council-run service has now achieved the top grade in a national accolade scheme for young people's activities provided by Welsh local authorities.
The Vale of Glamorgan is the eighth area of Wales to achieve all three levels - including silver and bronze.
Aimed at 11-25 year olds from across the county, the youth service runs a range of clubs, courses and activities designed to help young people build their essential personal and social skills in order to achieve their full potential.
Cllr Rhiannon Birch, cabinet member for education, said: "I’d like to congratulate the Youth Service on this fantastic achievement."
"The recent award of the Gold Quality Mark recognises the team’s excellent youth work and the important role it plays in helping young people develop."
"The service supports a range of individuals in a variety of different ways, consistently reaching the elite standards as this honour proves.”
Earlier this year, inspectors released a largely positive report, which praised the "consistently high" quality of youth work, adding the service was "strongly based on the voice of young people and on providing the support that they need to grow as confident and informed citizens."
Estyn made just one recommendation - to develop more Welsh language and bilingual activities.
The Quality Mark scheme, which is assessed independently, is awarded by the Education Workforce Council and the Welsh Government.
