Police say an 'important witness' has come forward following an alleged assault in Cardiff Bay two years ago.
CCTV pictures were released last month of a man who helped a woman in distress in September 2023.
He helped the woman into Cardiff Bay police station where she reported being a victim of assault.
The man did not leave his details at the time but South Wales Police said following their appeal on social media last month, he has since been in touch.
A spokesperson thanked the public for their help.
