A kite surfer has been rescued after getting into difficulty off the Cold Knap in Barry.
The RNLI at Barry Dock sent out its inshore lifeboat on Friday evening and soon found the casaulty struggling in the water.
The surfer was described as "tired and withdrawn" after swimming around a quarter of a mile towards the beach after tangling their lines.
The volunteer crew ensured the surfer was safe and well, before they were handed over to the Barry Coastguard.
