Locals have launched a fundraiser to help St Athan School after a devastating fire.
It was reported that around 240 pupils, teachers and contractors were safely evacuated on Wednesday morning after a fire broke out at the school.
The school's chair of governors, John Thomas, told Bro Radio News that one wing of the school had suffered "extensive damage", with South Wales Fire Service saying that the fire had been contained to a small block of classrooms and an IT Suite.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown - with fire chiefs saying their investigation will take a few days to complete.
Footage released by the Fire Service has shown the devastating impact of the fire.
After their children were safely evacuated, local parents launched a fundraiser to help the school get back on its feet following the fire.
In a statement on Just Giving, organiser Kieran Cox said "At times like this, coming together as a community is really important. Our community spirit is what makes us different to many different parts of The Vale of Glamorgan"
"Whether these funds help to get more school supplies, support through upcoming times or help financially support a school trip or visit in the future. Let's put a smile back on the children and staff members faces!"
The fundraiser has surpassed its initial fundraising goal of £500, with sights now set on a £2,000 target.
At the time of print over 75 supporters have raised more than £1,360 in donations to support the school.

Meanwhile, fire crews have returned to the scene to assess the damage caused, alongside school and council staff.
A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told Bro Radio News: "The fire investigation will take a few days to complete."
Vale Council is expected to announce teaching arrangements for the school in due course.
