A 18 year-old has been charged following a stabbing in the Gibbonsdown area of Barry.
A 33 year-old local man was taken to hospital with stab wounds after he was attacked on Ramsey Road late on Saturday night.
His injuries were described as not life threatening.
Daniel Harris (18), from Brynna, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was arrested and remanded in custody, charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Phillip Marchant from South Wales Police said: "This was a shocking incident which resulted in several crime scenes being held in the town."
"I am grateful to members of the community for their patience and understanding while officers carried out their investigations."
