A 44 year-old man has been charged with sexual assault following an incident in Cardiff Bay.
Two men were arrested following a disturbance in the Mermaid Quay area last Wednesday night involving a 19 year-old woman.
Detectives said a female Good Samaritan had come forward following a CCTV appeal in connection with the incident.
David Lee Evans (44) of Grangetown was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
A 33 year-old man from Roath was released on bail pending further inquiries.
