A man has been questioned following the deaths of three people in a road collision near Barry.
Meanwhile, an inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of Philip James from Penarth.
The 67 year-old passed away in hospital a month after the two-vehicle collision on the A4050 Port Road near Barry.
His aunt, Madeline Brooks (85) of Barry, and his cousin, Beverley Pugsley (67) of Llandaff, were also killed.
Police have confirmed a 24 year-old man from Warwickshire, who was also injured, has been released on bail after being discharged from hospital.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Pontypridd Coroners Court heard Mr James had been travelling in a Nissan Micra driven by Ms Pugsley, when it was struck by an Audi at around 1.40pm on 2nd November.
Both Ms Pugsley and Ms Brooks, who was also a passenger in the Micra, died at the scene, while Mr James was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
A post-mortem examination found Mr James suffered multi-organ failure, a traumatic brain injury and fractures.
The hearing was adjourned until a later date while a criminal investigation into the collision takes place.
A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "A 24-year-old man from Warwickshire was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He is currently on bail."
