An Agatha Christie classic is being brought to the stage by a local theatre company in Dinas Powys this Spring.
The Miss Marple story, A Murder is Anounced, is the first of two productions being lined up by the White Cat group this year.
There'll be three peformances at the Dinas Powys Parish Hall from Thursday 16th - Friday 18th April.
Set in the small village of Chipping Cleghorn and the home of Letitia Blacklock, all seems well as the household prepares for the birthday of Dora Bunner.
Until, that is, an announcement in the local paper states the time and place of an imminent murder in Little Paddocks – Blacklock's home. Thankfully, for some, Miss Marple is on hand to solve the case and throw up a couple of surprises.

Paul Smith, who is normally found on the stage as part of the cast, will be directing the production, adapted by Leslie Darbon.
He said: "It came down to two plays and as this is one of my Mum's favourite shows and authors, it was a simple choice to make. The events of the show also take place on my birthday, so very fitting."
"I'm delighted that we can bring on some new actors for this production, as well as challenging some of our regulars with complex characters. I can't wait to see the audience's reaction when they find out who did it!"

'A Murder is Announced' will be performed at the Parish Hall on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th April at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) with a matinee on Saturday 18th April at 3pm (doors open at 2.30pm)
There'll be a bar before the show and during the interval with cash and card accepted both at the door and the bar.
Tickets can be brought on the night - although pre-booking is advised - and by calling 0333 666 3366 or visiting the White Cat Theatre website.
In November, the White Cat Theatre will be performing Shakespeare's Macbeth, also in Dinas Powys.
