A breastfeeding support group in Dinas Powys is to get extra help from local healthcare professionals.
The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board says it's making changes to its visiting service in order to provide more targeted support.
From 2nd September, trained professionals will support the Dinas Powys group, which meets on Monday mornings at the community library.
They'll include community staff and nursery nurses who are skilled in identifying feeding concerns.
But the health board has also withdrawn support from another breastfeeding support group in Cardiff Bay because of low attendance.
A CAVUHB spokesperson said: "As a health board, we are proud to support the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative and these changes will support more women experiencing complex breastfeeding issues to receive support from the Infant Specialist Feeding Team on a 1-to-1 basis at home or at the infant specialist breastfeeding clinic."
The health board advises women needing additional support to attend other groups led by the Health Visiting Service or contact their health visitor for advice.
The Dinas Powys Breastfeeding Support Group meets at the Community Library in The Murch on Mondays from 10am-12pm, excluding bank holidays.
A Barry and Vale support group is also run each Wednesday morning at the Family Start Family Centre in Barry from 10am-12pm.
Women needing specialist support will be referred to the Infant Specialist Feeding Team, which runs a weekly clinic in Llanederyn on Wednesday afternoons.
