The new Mayor of Barry will be hosting a coffee morning at the Town Hall later this month.
Cllr Dennis Clarke took over the role last month after he was elected to succeed Cllr Catherine Iannucci Williams.
Entry for the coffee morning is free, but donations will also be taken for the Mayor's two chosen charities - Mind in the Vale of Glamorgan and Valeways.
Mind in the Vale, which is connected to the national organisation, provides mental health support to people experiencing challlenges, while Valeways promotes health and wellbeing through walking in the countryside.
Both charities will also be in attendance at the coffee morning, taking place on Saturday 28th June from 10am - 12.30pm.
