Work has been completed on Vale of Glamorgan Council's latest housing development in Barry.
Twelve one-bed apartments have been built as part of the Llys yr Eglwys scheme at the former Colcot Clinic site on Winston Road.
It's the fourth such project in the town to be completed in the past few years, following on from Llys Llechwedd Jenner, Lon y Felin Wynt and Clos Holm View.
One of the new tenants, Steven Platt, said: "It's nice, clean and pleasant, really welcoming to move into."
"Previously, I'd been in a bungalow and temporary hotel accommodation, and this is worlds apart. This is my home now. I can settle and I can relax."
"I have all modern conveniences here, the internet and plenty of sockets. It's perfect. I'm from Barry so the location is ideal for me, it's great and I enjoy living here."
The new apartments include large open-plan kitchen and living rooms, along with balconies, off-street parking and a range of environmentally friendly features, such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting.
The new complex has been built using sustainable methods and includes a living wall made out of vegetation.
Vale Council says its housebuilding programme is "continuing at pace" with more schemes in the pipeline, including a major new older person's complex in Penarth.
Cllr Sandra Perkes, cabinet member for public sector housing, said: "This project is part of a long-term plan to increase the number of council houses as the authority looks to address soaring demand for this type of property."
"There have been a series of other developments completed over the last few years, with others on the way."
Cllr Perkes added: "Llys yr Eglwys will provide tenants with comfortable, modern accommodation close to local shops and amenities and within an existing community."
"It has been built to exacting standards, with energy efficiency and the environment a key consideration in line with the council's Project Zero commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030."
