Lifeboat crews have urged watersports enthusiasts to think twice about taking to the sea in the Western Vale this weekend.
Strong offshore winds have been forecast around the Ogmore-by-Sea and Southerndown areas.
The RNLI at Porthcawl said it strongly advised anyone visiting the coast to avoid using paddleboards and inflatable kayaks.
They also urged people to check weather conditions and tide before heading out via a trusted online source such as the Met Office, and to always visit a lifeguarded beach and swim between the red and yellow flags.
