The Penarth Open Gardens Trail has raised over £6,300 for The Children's Society.
Over 500 visitors were welcomed into seventeen gardens around town, which were opened to the public for two days last month.
The Children's Society's chief executive Mark Russell joined the gardeners at Cosmeston Cottage to thank them and the visitors for their support.
He was presented with the cheque by the charity's honorary president, Ann Lush OBE, who lives in Penarth.
