Police say there's been a big increase in the number of vehicles being stolen across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
At least 27 Ford vehicles were among those taken by thieves during January - with the Fiesta, Transit and Ecosport among the most targted models.
Five Land Rover and four Volkswagen vehicles were also stolen across the region.
Detectives say the Barry and Penarth areas saw a 'spike' in thefts compared to December, along with the Canton, Ely, Fairwater, Llanishen and Llanederyn areas of Cardiff.
There has also been a rise in thefts from vehicles.
A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "We know that being a victim of car crime is upsetting, costly and an inconvenience. It’s particularly distressing when you are a repeat victim."
"Please be reassured that officers are is doing everything possible to identify those responsible and we are on regular patrol."
Police are also advising drivers to check their vehicles daily, ensure they are secure and remove items of value before leaving.
They also advise motorists to park in a well-lit area and covered by CCTV where possible as it can deter thieves and also help detect crime.
Further information on how to prevent vehicle crime can be found on the South Wales Police website.
