South Wales Police have confirmed the discovery of three German WW2 incendiary bombs in Plassey Street, Penarth.
Police were called to the scene at around 1:30 pm on Tuesday, 5th August.
As a precaution, a cordon was put in place in the area covering parts of Plassey Street, Salop Street, Salop Place and Glebe Street.
Around 50 homes and a number of businesses were evacuated by officers, as work took place to examine and make the devices safe.
In an update on Tuesday evening, South Wales Police confirmed that three German World War 2 incendiary bombs were found in a garden.

The bombs were moved by specialists to the Old Penarthians Rugby club, where they were safely detonated.
A spokesperson said, "We would like to thank the Bomb Disposal Specialists for their assistance and the public for their patience and understanding while we dealt with this incident."
