A renowned gypsy jazz band will be appearing at the Barry Arts Festival later this month.
The Robin Nolan Trio are releasing a new instrumental album on the Dark Horse Records label belonging to one of their most famous fans - the late George Harrison.
'For the Love of George' features gypsy jazz versions of classic Beatles' tracks, all recorded on three of George's famous guitars.
The trio will be playing tracks from their new album, when they appear at Cubanas on Broad Street on Saturday 30th November.
Barry Arts Festival organiser, Mike Duggan, said: "In two decades of touring, Robin and his band have played at all of the big international jazz festivals, including Montreux, North Sea Jazz, London's Albert Hall and New York's Jazz at the Lincoln Centre."
"For those who know their gypsy jazz, some have said that Robin Nolan is the best since the famous Django Reinhardt!"
"We're really looking forward to this gig, and again bringing some of the world's best jazz to Barry!"
Doors open at 7pm on the night with tickets on sale at The Vinyl Frontier on Holton Road or via the festival's Ticketsource or by calling Mike on 07561 143 114.
