Eight local organisations have benefited from the Rotary Club of Barry and District's annual Easter Egg Appeal.
Run each year by members, donations were made to Vale Foodbank, Vale Domestic Abuse Services, Cadog's Corner, Young Carers, Llamau Barry, Llamau Penarth, Marie Curie Hospice Penarth, The Cube, plus several individual donations.
The 2026 appeal saw the group's largest number of requests, with members of the local community providing donations at drop-off points, events and directly to Rotary Members.
Over the Easter period, Rotary Club of Barry and District ran several easter events, including an "Easter Bunny's Fun Event" at Morrisons, Fun Day at Asda Barry and provided support to the Friends of Victoria Parks Easter Event.
In a post on social media, the group thanked several local businesses and individuals for their support, including ASDA Barry, Charleine Dudridge, Knights Estate Agents, Lynn Clarke, Morrisons Barry, Pam Bowen and Tesco Barry, Penarth & Rhoose.
