It's been confirmed that St Athan Primary School will remain closed until after the February half-term break.
Vale Council says remote learning will be in place next week while work continues on assessing the damage caused by Wednesday's fire.
At last one wing of the school suffered extensive damage - and crews used five engines and two water bowsers to contain the fire to a small block of classrooms and an IT suite.
The cause of the fire - which started in the roof - remains unknown and South Wales Fire & Rescue Service says their investigation will take a few days to complete.

A spokesperson for the council, said: "The school site will be closed until half-term - February 24th to 28th - so that damage caused by the fire can be properly assessed and repairs carried out."
"Remote learning arrangements will be in place next week, while packed lunches are available from St Athan Library for pupils entitled to free school meals."
"Internet-enabled devices are being sourced for any child that needs them, educational psychologists are on hand to help staff support learners and assistance with wellbeing is also being offered."
