Two people have been rescued after they were stranded on Sully Island.
The RNLI at Penarth sent its D-class lifeboat after being called out by the Coastguard at 4.15pm on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson said the pair appeared to be trying cross on an incoming tide.
They've reminded the public to check tide times and to "not underestimate the power" of some of the highest tides in the world, which come in quickly and with a strong flow at Sully Island.
They added: "Our volunteer crew are happy to keep people safe and returned back to the station to prepare the D class ready for service again."
