Two men have been charged after fireworks were thrown from a moving car near the Butetown tunnels in Cardiff Bay.
Police spotted the vehicle from where the fireworks were set off on the A4232 on Sunday evening.
Following a pursuit, road patrol officers found the suspect car parked on the Miskin Industrial Estate.
Two men were tracked down nearby and arrested, with the help of a police dog and a National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter from St Athan.
Osama Alshameri (26) from Birmingham and Ahmed Kadoora (34) from Sutton Coldfield were charged with a firing a firework in a highway and using a firework at night.
Kadoora is also accused of dangerous driving and failing to stop a vehicle when required.
Both men are due to appear before Cardiff magistrates on Tuesday 18th November.
