Two missing children were found safe and well after they went mising at Whitmore Bay on Monday afternoon.
A nine year-old sparked a major search operation after they were last spotted in the water.
The Coastguard helicopter from St Athan was deployed along with police, coastguards and local lifeguards using their rescue water craft.
The child was eventually found by RNLI lifeguards and police.
Later, a search for a missing seven year-old spotted at the water's edge in Whitmore Bay ended quickly when they were reunited with their parents.
The RNLI at Barry Dock said its D-class inshore lifeboat was called out to both incidents.
A spokesperson said: "With thousands of visitors on Barry Island and Whitmore Bay during this warm weather in the school holidays, it is easy to loose someone in the crowds. Please keep a watchful eye. Strong tides and currents in the Bristol Channel can quickly pull someone out to sea."
"In an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
