A candlelit vigil will be held by a domestic abuse charity in Barry to mark White Ribbon Day.
Organisers say the hour-long event, outside the civic offices in Barry, will honour and remember women whose lives have been taken by male violence.
It will be held four days ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which takes place on 25th November.
Vicky Friis, chief executive of Vale Domestic Abuse Services, said: "Each year, this vigil reminds us why we do this work. Behind every statistic is a life, a family, and a community forever changed by violence."
"Standing together sends a powerful message: That abuse will never be accepted, ignored, or silenced in our community. We remember those lost, celebrate the strength of survivors, and commit to creating a safer future for all."
Last year, the charity supported more than a thousand women in the Vale who experienced male violence and coercive control - with demand still on the increase.

Among those attending the vigil will be survivors of domestic abus, along with local community groups and representatives from Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Vale MS Jane Hutt said: "This vigil gives us an important opportunity to come together to show our support for victims of domestic abuse, and to stand against violence in all forms."
"On White Ribbon Day, thousands of ambassadors stand up, speak out and say no to violence against women, and I am proud that our vigil shows people in the Vale will not be bystanders to violence."
The candlelit vigil takes place on Friday 21st November from 5.30pm - 6.30pm with attendees advised to bring a battery-powered candle and wrap up warm.
