A Barry high school has been named one of the UK's best education workplaces.
Whitmore High was among the winners of this year's Great Place to Work UK, recognising exceptional workplace culture.
Staff at the school told judges there was a "strong sense of pride" and a "collobrative team ethos" which contributed to its positive working environment.
One colleague said it enjoyed "fantastic co-operation" between teachers and other workers across all aspects of school life.
They added: "I feel valued in my role and respected by my colleagues whatever their role in the school community is. This is a body of staff that really supports each other and cares about the community we serve."
Staff were asked by judges to comment anonymously on how their employer supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychologcial safety and financial security.
Whitmore High staff said they felt empowered to grow profesionally in all ages, backed up by an approach to leadership promoting research-based innovation and inclusive decision-making.
Innes Robinson, executive headteacher, said he was incredibly proud of his colleagues.
"Our staff constantly want to improve, constantly want to develop better and better things for the children and they do this whilst supporting and valuing each other", he said. "It's a great place to work."
The school went onto be recognised in the Small and Medium category.
