The Gathering Place in St Athan has secured £14,000 of funding for a WiFi upgrade.
The community hub on Flemington Road is one of two beneficiaries in the village of donations from Barratt.
The housebuilding firm has also given a donation to support the rebuild of St Athan Primary School, following a fire last February.
Funding to improve online access at the Gathering Place will also cover WiFi costs for the next three years.
Vale of Glamorgan MS Jane Hutt said: "This donation is wonderful news and will make a huge difference to the Gathering Place and all those who use this vital community hub."
"I would like to thank Barratt Homes for engaging with our roundtable meetings to support the centre and for their ongoing support for the community."
The Barratt Foundation donates around £4 million a year to charities and community organisations in areas local to the housebuilder's developments, such as Parc Fferm Wen.
Lewis Allwood, charity champion at Barratt, added: "Both St Athan Primary School and The Gathering Place are vital local spaces that cultivate and support people of all ages — from young children in the community to those in more vulnerable situations."
“At Barratt, we are proud to support these essential local bases — helping them continue their invaluable work for the community, for the benefit of current and future generations.”
Applications for Barratt's Community Fund are open to all registered charities across South Wales and the West England. To find out more, email bdwswcommfund@barratthomes.co.uk
