A woman has been questioned following an alleged stabbing in Penarth.
A 29 year-old man was taken to hospital following an incident on St Luke's Avenue between 6am and 7am on Saturday 30th August.
He was found covered in blood after being stabbed in the arm, but his injuries were not life threatening.
Detectives want to speak to a member of the public, who approached both the victim and the suspect to check on their welfare.
PC Sara Lewis from South Wales Police said: "We believe the victim was covered in a significant amount of blood due to a stab wound to his arm."
"I’m hoping the member of the public remembers this encounter and I would ask them to please come forward as they could have crucial information."
A 30 year-old woman arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
