Work is expected to start soon on a new retirment living scheme in Cowbridge.
Over 50 new privately-owned apartments will be built at Darren Farm, designed especially for the over 60s.
Developers McCarthy Stone say the development will offer retirees "a fully tailored solution to suit their lifestyle and individual needs".
Work on clearing and levelling the site has already taken place - with old farm buildings being removed before access to the site is improved ahead of construction.

The project aims to welcome its first occupants in two years time with the first set of apartments expected to be released for sale late next year.
According to the developers, prices for the apartments - which have yet to be be revealed - are expected to be set in line with the local market.

Apart from the low maintenance one and two-bedroom apartments, the scheme will also include communal spaces such as a homeowners lounge and landscape gardens, along with a guest suite for friends and family to stay overnght.
The complex will be overseen by a house manager during office hours, with a 24/7 emergency call and camera entry system available in each apartment for added security.
A commerical office, which also forms part of the same planning application, will be built once the retirement scheme is complete.
