Young sports coaches and ambassadors from across the Vale have been honoured at a special evening.
Welsh Olympic and Commonwealth Games boxer Rosie Eccles joined the event at Barry's Memo Arts Centre to recognise the achivements of local people involved in two projects - Coaches of the Future and Young Ambassadors.
Over 1600 young people have taken part in over 150 sessions and events over the past year, contributing to over 1200 voltunary hours.

Coaches of the Future aims to encourage young people to become more active and to inspire a generation of young coaches - while Young Sports Ambassadors is part of a national scheme which aims to empower young people towards becoming leaders through sport.
Cllr Gwyn John, cabinet member for leisure, sport and wellbeing at Vale Council, said: "It was a privilege to attend the celebration honouring these ambitious young people."

He added: "These initiatives open a world of training and development opportunities, helping young people across the Vale become leaders and inspire others to get involved in sports."
"Their success reflects the council's commitment to improving well-being, making the Vale a fantastic place to live by empowering youth to lead healthier, more active lives."
