More than £500 has been raised for two charities at the annual Big Barry Fairtrade Quiz.
Over 60 people took part in this year's event at Craft Republic, which was held in aid of the Mayor of Barry's chosen causes, Valeways and Mind in the Vale.
Cllr Dennis Clarke, said: "We had a very successful and enjoyable night answering a range of questions from geography to history, as well as a few Fairtrade questions thrown in."
"Some people will have known that Wales became the world's first Fairtrade nation in 2008, but I don't think many knew that Switzerland is the consumer of the most fairtrade bananas!"
"Thank you to Craft Republic for hosting us, for Cllr Nic Hodges for the quiz questions, and to Fairtrade Wales for the prizes."
The quiz night was organised by Barry Town Council.
