Pupils from a Barry primary school are celebrating their success after participating in a nationwide Maths and English Challenge.
12 children at All Saints Church in Wales Primary School in Barry recently received awards after taking part in the Annual DoodleLearning Summer Challenge, which is designed to motivate pupils during the school holidays.
More than 26,000 children took part in this year’s challenge by practising maths and English on DoodleLearning’s award-winning apps for just a few minutes each day. Part of the Discovery Education family of services, the DoodleMaths and DoodleEnglish apps use the latest edtech innovations to boost children’s confidence and reward learning.
The pupils from All Saints Church in Wales Primary School were rewarded with special certificates and badges that were presented by their teachers this week.
Mrs Louise Webb, Maths and Numeracy Lead at the school said: "The children of All Saints Church in Wales Primary School demonstrated extraordinary determination and enthusiasm in this year's Doodle Learning Summer Challenges, showcasing their commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. With the guidance of their teachers and parents, many pupils embraced the challenges as a fun and rewarding way to continue their education outside of the traditional classroom environment. We are immensely proud of our students' achievements and look forward to seeing how these experiences will positively influence their future educational journeys.”
Michael Savitz, Discovery Education’s UK and International Managing Director said: “We’re thrilled to see such an incredible response to this year’s DoodleLearning Summer Challenge and congratulate All Saints Church in Wales Primary School for their outstanding achievement. By inspiring curiosity and making learning an enjoyable experience for all, our Doodle apps provide a fantastic opportunity for students to continue their educational journeys beyond the classroom.”
