Caribbean Community Wales, a new organisation formed to unite and support Caribbean people across the country, will continue its Wales‑wide launch this weekend with a major community event in Barry.
The gathering takes place on Saturday, 27 June at the Jenner Suite, Jenner Park Stadium, following CCW’s first launch event in Newport earlier this month.
CCW was created after months of conversations with Caribbean people living across Wales, including members of the Windrush Generation. Those discussions highlighted a shared need for a single, unified space where people can connect, celebrate their heritage, and have their voices represented.
Organisers say that while Caribbean communities are active and present across Wales, there has been no single organisation bringing those voices together—something CCW aims to change.
The group will operate through a membership model supported by four working groups focusing on culture, community, collaboration, and representation.
