12 year old Polly, from Cowbridge, has been named as a finalist in the GoHenry Dream Big competition, an annual celebration of the ideas, creativity and ambition of young people aged 6-18 from across the UK.
Polly has been shortlisted in the KIDPRENEUR category for her business, The Bedazzle Bar, which she launched with her three friends creates bespoke bedazzled dance and gymnastics accessories and has already enjoyed early success.
This year's Dream Big competition is the biggest yet, with Polly hoping to become one of 36 winners from across the UK. Nine winners will be selected from each of the four nations - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - with each receiving a share of the £36,000 prize fund, worth £1,000 each.
Polly, a KIDPRENEUR finalist representing Wales, said:
"We are so excited to be finalists! As a new business, £1,000 will really help us invest in more stock and do more events. We all live and breathe dancing and gymnastics, so this business was an easy idea for us, and we are absolutely loving bedazzling everything!"
Stephanie, Polly's mum, said:
"I'm so proud of Polly and the girls. They pitched their ideas to us one evening and we just couldn't say no to making that initial investment to help them get started. The products they've created are beautiful and their first event last week was a complete sell-out. Winning £1,000 would really help them grow the business, and I can't wait to watch them continue to flourish."
Members of the public can support Polly by voting online. Voting closes at 11:59pm BST on 29 July 2026, with the winners due to be announced later in August.
