A Barry business centre is set to receive a major £1 million upgrade.
More than £1 million of UK Government funding will be spent on developing The Engine Room on Hood Road.
Vale Council says the transformation project will eventually create 13 new spaces for local companies.
Its plans for the site include redesigning the main entrance to the building, which will be decorated to boost its appeal.
The public car park will also be extended and resurfaced, along with space for cycle parking and seating, new signage and landscaping work.
Work is expected to take around 20 weeks - with the new units available to let from April.
Cllr Bronwen Brooks, deputy leader of Vale Council, said: "The Engine Room is a bright, modern, welcoming and flexible space for businesses to work and collaborate."
“This transformation project can help create a state-of-the-art business centre for the Vale and help attract the inward investment necessary for economic growth."
“After recent environmentally friendly innovations, this phase will make it even greener. That aligns with the council’s Project Zero commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030."

Interest in The Engine Room, formerly an IT skills centre, has grown since the building was taken over by Vale Council in 2015
Three years ago, the council leased the adjoining former Train Shed building to Brawd, a local business firm, in the first step of creating new units for local businesses.
According to the council, the upgrade aims to meet the needs of a growing business community and ease parking pressure in the area.
It will also build on recent carbon reduction projects by installing a living wall and a greener heating system.
The work is being paid for by the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund and carried out by local contractors Kingfisher Developments.
